Food for Thought: Passover: Everything you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask

April 14, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Heard about that time the Jews escaped slavery in Egypt?

Ever wondered the symbolism of eating a chopped up nut and fruit spread on a thin cracker just before dinner?

Gefilte Fish: What kind of fish is it really? Do they swim in the North Atlantic?

Passover is the most celebrated of Jewish holidays. More Jews will participate in a Passover Seder than go to synagogue during the new year, Rosh Hashanah, so it’s very possible you have too. An eight day celebration of liberation and freedom, there is much symbolism in the kick off Seder event and potential for adaptation. Bring your questions from that one time your neighbor invited you over and you weren’t really sure what was happening. Bring your lunch and come learn what the ‘hype is all about as we hear stories and get answers.
