Teach for Impact: The Neuroscience of Narrative with Katrice Horsley

May 10, 2016 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

The Neuroscience of Narrative-How to communicate your story and enable others to find their voice.
We are pleased to welcome Katrice Horsley, international trainer and former National Storytelling Laureate for the UK (and a current Impact Hub Birmingham member) to Boston to offer a storytelling workshop as the first in our Teach for Impact series!
During this 90 minute workshop Katrice Horsley will share new research into neuroscience and explore how this can be used to help us as communicators. Katrice has designed and delivered training for a range of international organizations, including UNICEF, British Council, UNHCR and the Red Cross to name but a few and has developed a reputation for facilitating in a lively and engaging way. Participants will feel welcomed and stimulated and able to implement the exercises that Katrice will share, either in their work as users of spoken word or as facilitators and trainers themselves.
She has also published a book on creative evaluation techniques as well as produced an award winning bereavement resource. Her breadth of knowledge concerning language and it’s impact is vast and as her background is in play and child development she can link it into child development as well as performance and communication.
She will be happy to answer questions and stay and talk after if people wish.
