Join our Community Hosting Team for Summer/Fall 2018!

Through our hosting program, you could help us build a vibrant community of social innovators and entrepreneurs in exchange for a full Impact Hub Boston membership.  The cohort runs from July 16, 2018 to January 31, 2019, calling for an 8 hour/week commitment. If you are applying for the Summer/Fall 2018 Cohort, please note that our July 20th Orientation is mandatory and runs from 10am to 4:30pm.
  Working from an inspiring space at 50 Milk Street in downtown Boston, you will help build both a community and a physical space where innovation for social impact thrives. Expect to interact with seasoned and new entrepreneurs, artists, professionals, and students pursuing creative, impactful solutions to local and global challenges - be they for-profit or non-profit ventures.  

What is the hosting team?

The Impact Hub Boston "Hosting Team" is a group of professionals, makers, entrepreneurs, students, and leaders who help us keep our community connected, vibrant, and logistically functioning. They are full members of the Hub, but also help us run the place. Impact Hubs all around the world have Hosting programs! They part of what makes us special as a network; we are a community that is quite literally run by our members! Or, at least in part. Our Hosts are connectors, inspirers, and facilitators. They grow to know our many members who are pursuing creative, impactful solutions to local and global challenges - be they for-profit or non-profit ventures - and seek to connect with resources and with each other. We are seeking people who are observant, dependable, smart, socially conscious, who do not have a problem helping out with logistics around the space ‘getting your hands dirty’ and love to be around other people.
  There are currently three different host roles that one may apply for:
  1. Daytime Host - Serve as a vital connector and community facilitator for Impact Hub, help with operations work, and join a team of hosts for work on a special project.
  2. Creative Host - Bring your design, photography, and marketing skills to work with the Impact Hub team to enhance our space, community programs, events, and social media in collaboration with other members of our hosting team. We work with creative hosts to make a tailored project plan for their skill set as it matches to our needs.
  3. 'Connect Membership' Host - Be the face of Impact Hub for our Connect Members during their Tuesday Night Coworking hours. Do all the things that a daytime host does, but with a special eye towards making our Connect Members feel connected and involved in the space.

    The Host position is an eight-hour per week commitment filled through a six hour in-space shift (morning or afternoon) with an additional two hours (in-space or virtually) working on a special project. For giving back as an Impact Hub Boston Host, you will receive unlimited social and business value, unlimited residential ( +24/7) membership during your Hosting tenure, and much more.
